David R. Anderson '74, President of St. Olaf College (2006- )
On October 6, 2006, David R. Anderson '74 is inaugurated as the 11th president of St. Olaf College succeeding Christopher Thomforde.
Anderson worked at WCAL during his years as a St. Olaf student as an engineer, an announcer and a producer.
On this same day, attorneys from Gray Plant Mooty on behalf of St. Olaf College completed and dated — but did not file with the court — a Petition asking Rice County District Court for permission to gain access to certain funds in the WCAL endowment / charitable trust.
Instead, they waited to file the petition until December 28, 2007 – in the midst of a holiday and vacation period, perhaps so that it would not attract much attention.
