This past weekend, the board of SaveWCAL met to review and discuss the recent decision by the Minnesota Court of Appeals regarding SaveWCAL's Petition To Redress Breach Of Trust.

From WCAL: Items of Historical Significance from the St. Olaf College archives by Rev. Dr. Martin Hegland '04, A.B., A.M., C.T., Ph. D. Hegland was a professor in and, later, chair of the St. Olaf Religion Department. He was the Director of WCAL for a number of years.
In the spring of 1927, the Federal Radio Commission (FRC) was created and WCAL was among the first 27 stations licensed by the new body.
